Can social statistics On Facebook show that you went on their page even if your not friends with them?

So i went on this guys page and i logged off as soon as i logged in again he randomly requested me, although we have 40 something mutual friends im kinda nervous that he saw that i went on his page did he see that i went on his page or was it just mutual friends or coincidence?
